The greatest Romanian male gymnast of all times, now a coach at the National team, Marius Urzica, had shared his thoughts on the perspectives of the Romanian team. From his point of view, 2014 is going to be a tough year, being the first step in reaching the 2016 Olympic Games.

Even though Flavius Koczi announced his retirement, Marius Urzica hopes that the youngsters, Andrei Muntean, Daniel Radeanu and Andrei Groza, will step up and become important assets to the Romanian team.

Speaking about the boys, Marius confessed that Andrei Muntean, for example, is also a good all arounder, besides being a specialist on rings and p-bars, as everyone knows him. He needs only a little bit more experience till he will reach his real potential. Daniel Radeanu is back in training after he tore his Achilles, last spring in Doha, and Andrei Groza – another promise – who is working, among other things, on “the Urzica” skill, on PB – salto forward to 1/1 turn to upper arm hang, rated E.
