Cerasela Patrascu is coming back!
Former European champion with the Romanian team in 2008, Cerasela Patrascu, is coming back after a difficult period, full of injuries. She is going to compete this weekend in Buzau at the Romanian Nationals.
Last year Cerasela injured her knees after a bad landing during the uneven bars dismount in the qualification round of the EC in Clermont-Ferrand. Since then she has had 2 surgeries and more than a year of recovery. In June this yearshe wanted to compete at the Romanian Internationals, but another knee injury kept her away.
But, most important, she is a fighter, she wants to compete again and this attitude helps her pass over the difficult moments of her career. Now she is trying to come back and we really hope she will succeed, as she’s one of our favorite gymnasts from the Romanian team.
In an article from Prosport, the head-coach Nicolae Forminte said that: “Cerasela is going to compete on beam and on uneven bars [at the Nationals]. We want to see how she behaves in an official competition and if we can count on her in the future“.
