The senior National team from Deva could be increased this month. That is, other 4 juniors could join the team, now consisting of 16 girls. “I have asked the Federation to approve the transfer of other 4 juniors from Onesti and I am now waiting for their decision. I want them to grow inside the National Team without being rushed and, because this year there will be no team competition, they will have enough time to adjust”, the National team coach Nicolae Forminte declared.

Moreover, bringing juniors at the National team would have another advantage. “I am convinced that, if the juniors train together with the seniors, by the time of their transition they could reach 58-60 points, instead of 54-55 points, how it’s happening now. It is very difficult to reach this total, you cannot rush this progress, that is the reason why we want to start in time, taking into account that our competitors already manage these high scores during the junior period.”, Forminte explained.

The 16 gymnasts, members of the National team now, are: Sandra Izbasa, Anamaria Tamîrjan, Gabriela Dragoi, Andreea Acatrinei, Cerasela Patrascu, Andreea Grigore, Dana Druncea and the juniors Claudia Voicu, Amelia Racea, Raluca Haidu, Diana Chelaru, Diana Trenca, Ana Porgras, Loredana Sabau, Daniela Andrei and Malina Savoaia.

”I consider that all gymnasts who will have the right age for participating in the 2012 Olympic Games should be taught, corrected and trained in Deva for this competition”, Nicolae Forminte declared.
