Andreea Acatrinei officially retired
Andreea Acatrinei, member of the Romanian team bronze medalist in Beijing, has officially announced her retirement. The causes for this decision are health problems, related to her spine. “This a big loss because I was counting on her for the first part of the olympic cycle. She was important for the team, but now we need to manage without her.”, Nicolae Forminte declared. Acatrinei is the second gymnast who leaves Deva after the 2008 Olympics. Steliana Nistor was the first one. She retired immediately after the Olympics, also because of health problems.
