Four for Canada
Marius Berbecar, Razvan Selariu, Robert Stanescu and Daniel Popescu are going to represent Romania at the international competition “Gymnix Montreal 2009“. This World Cup will take place in Canada in the week March 4-9.
“We are first aiming for good evolutions of our gymnasts.This is a first test of what has been done till now, in order to choose the team that will represent us at the Europeans, in particular the gymnasts who are going to fight for a place on the podium at AA and EF. I hope that they will perform well, they showed already during the training sessions that they are in the best shape, we only need to see how well they will compete”, said Ioan Suciu, the B-coach of the MAG team.
As for the future possible surprises within the Romanian team, Suciu shows confidence: “We have big hopes regarding two of our gymnasts: Marius Berbecar and Cosmin Popescu. The time has come for them to show that they are valuable gymnasts and to get up on the podium and win medals.”
