Octavian Bellu speaks about Ghent

From FRG:

“It will be a very useful competition, especially since the girls who will be there haven’t competed in such competitions in a very long time. It is known that Sandra hasn’t competed for one year, Porgras – she hasn’ t been in this type of atmosphere in a long time, and Chelaru, she too, is coming back from a long period of being in a cast. Each of them will try to compete on one to three apparatus, especially since we don’t want to force them. It is a welcoming privilege, not forgetting that the National Championships at Resita and the meet with Germany and Switzerland are coming up, in order to remind them of the atmosphere, to re-open their taste for competition, so the competition at Ghent is a first step in order to do so. We are not proposing unique skills. We are going to Ghent with two main goals, on one hand to finish the competition with no injury, and we will take care so that everything can be done well in this part, and on the other hand, to present their routines with which they are well prepared with, because, I repeat, they are coming back after a long break. It is important, in the last instance, that the four gymnasts to their job. What concerns the other gymnasts of the team, they are all preparing well, without any health problems, Dragoi and Patrascu, for example, training on all pieces of apparatus.”
