2010 Romanian Artistic Gymnastics Nationals
From FRG:

At Resita, both the men and women gymnastics teams are there in order to compete at the National Championships, which will take place from Friday, 17th of September until Sunday, 19th of September. This competition isn’t only for finding the new national champions, but it is a competition to also find out who might be on the teams which will represent Romania at the upcoming World Championships, next month, in Rotterdam.
The men, which have been at Resita for a longer period of time, were joined, from Tuesday evening, by the women’s team: Sandra Izbasa, Gabriela Dragoi, Cerasela Patrascu, Daniela Andrei, Amelia Racea, Ana Porgras, Diana Trenca, Diana Chelaru, Larisa Iordache and Raluca Haidu.
The technical committee is made from the returning coaches Mariana Bitang and Octavian Belu and also from the coaches Liliana Cosma, Marius Vintila, Lucian Sandu and Florin Cotutiu, as well as Valer Puia, the choreographer and Andreea Ianasi, the therapist.
At arrival, Octavian Bellu said:
“I have been to Resita before, many years ago, for the same reason as now, the National Championships, at which many of the best Romanian gymnasts participated. They were the teams which represented us at the Olympic Games in 1984 in Los Angeles. Coming back to our days, it is important to mention that all the girls are healthy, after a long period of time in which many of them could not train normally because of some injuries they sustained. These injuries have kept them away from preparation, from a year to many months. At this moment all of them are healthy. They have worked with speed with which they have recovered. Some recovered less, others recovered more. We will see what can be achieved at these national championships as well. It is important, useful and evident that all of us will do everything there is possible, where it is possible, in a way so that Romania’s participation at the World Championships is going to be a success.”
